Christmas In July 5K A Hit, Successful Fundraiser For Orland Nonprofit

Jul 05, 2023

ORLAND PARK, IL — Over 130 runners dashed to make a difference at Community Services Foundation’s first ever Christmas in July 5K event on July 25.

The race was held by Community Services Foundation to raise funds for CTF Illinois, a nonprofit that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, some of whom attended the race to cheer runners on with motivational signs.

Participants enjoyed a challenging trek along the USATF-certified Orland Grasslands Forest Preserve course. At the end of the event, runners were able to enjoy a DJA, complimentary beverages and refreshments, and a goodie bag filled with gifts and coupons from the 5K’s sponsors. They also received a themed shirt featuring an “ugly sweater” design.

100 percent of the net proceeds will go directly towards supporting the dreams and goals of people served by CTF Illinois.
